Job Title: Charge Nurse - RMN

Location: Ystrad, Pentre, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £41,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced Charge Nurse (RMN) to lead our mental health nursing team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of mental health nurses
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with best practice guidelines and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
  • Provide support and education to patients and their families to promote mental health and well-being
  • Oversee the management of patient records and documentation
  • Contribute to staff development and training initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of the team
  • Act as an advocate for patients, promoting their rights and ensuring their voices are heard

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Proven experience in a mental health nursing role, with a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health conditions
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace
  • Up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation and best practices
