About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Mental Health team in Carmarthenshire, South West Wales. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological interventions to individuals, based on a complex, multi-theoretical formulation that encompasses historical, developmental, systemic, and neuropsychological processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified psychologist looking for career development and to work in a dynamic and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and treatments to clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Work with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
  • Develop and implement complex, multi-theoretical formulations that encompass historical, developmental, systemic, and neuropsychological processes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral level training in psychology, including models of psychopathology, training in two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working in adult mental health settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
