About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team. As a Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and building solutions based on business requirements. You will work closely with our team to build reliable and simple solutions using the latest open-source technologies.

Some of the key technologies we use include:

  • Backend: Kotlin, Java, Python, Spring Boot & Co, JPA, SQL/NoSQL, Elastic, Gradle
  • Frontend: React (Recoil/SWR/ReactQuery/React-Router), TypeScript, antdesign, Jest/Vitest, Vite/Webpack, Highcharts, Axios
  • Infrastructure & Service: Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps (CI and Management), Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Storage, Messaging/Events/Queues, Git, SonarQube
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build solutions based on business requirements
  • Coach and help the team to build the designed solution
  • Define, build, and deploy pipelines as code with Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
  • Work with the frontend teams and build REST APIs, asynchronous processes, batches, database, and cache access
  • Define Azure infrastructure requirements for your services
  • Keep the technical stack secured and up to date
  • Define and follow coding conventions and rules (Sonar, ktlint, checkstyle)
  • Learn and master micro-services architecture
  • Write unit and functional tests
  • Participate in code reviews and welcome, help, and manage new joiners
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or any STEM subject
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Java Backend Developer, preferably in a start-up or fast-paced environment
  • Experience with designing and building business services in micro-services/cloud architecture with Spring Boot
  • Experience with Kotlin, Java 17, Spring (boot, web, security, data), Hibernate/JPA/JDBC, SQL, HTTP/Restful API/Json/Patch, Junit/AssertJ/Mockito/Mockk, Docker, GIT
  • Experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps, event-driven/message-oriented Middleware/Queues, Apache Camel, Micro-Service architecture, No-SQL, Elastic, Mongo, JavaScript/TypeScript/Node is a plus
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with financial datasets/ETL
  • Fluency in English
