French and Spanish Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and dynamic French and Spanish Teacher to join our esteemed secondary school in Surrey. This full-time permanent position commences in January and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic and cultural enrichment of young learners.

The Role

As a French and Spanish Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering students' language proficiency and cultural awareness across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire a lifelong love of language learning through engaging lessons, innovative teaching methods, and a supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive language instruction in French and Spanish aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational objectives.
  • Create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, fosters critical thinking, and celebrates student achievement.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing personalized feedback to support individual growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Modern Foreign Languages department to enhance the overall language program and contribute to extracurricular activities.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in language education, incorporating innovative teaching strategies into your practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in French, Spanish, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching French and Spanish at the secondary level.
  • Native or near-native fluency in both French and Spanish.
  • A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering cultural understanding.
