About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Eurocell as a Manufacturing Manager, leading our primary manufacturing site in Somercotes, Alfreton. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to cost, and implementing the manufacturing strategy to align with our key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

Establish a Safe and Healthy Work Environment

Mitigate risks and safeguard employee well-being within an extrusion environment.

Provide Leadership

Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports to build a high-performing team.

Create and Implement a Manufacturing Vision

Establish best practice manufacturing strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to improve business performance.

Ensure Manufacturing Strategies Meet Business Objectives

Develop and implement processes to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Contribute to the Overall Business Strategy

Work collaboratively with the engineering team to develop new manufacturing processes and eliminate waste.

Deploy Problem-Solving Tools and Techniques

Use short interval control methodology to ensure problems are solved quickly and effectively.

Set Department Objectives and Monitor Progress

Translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives, including KPIs.

Complete Performance Reviews and Manage Attendance

Manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues, and procedures.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong leadership experience, with a focus on leading, developing, and building high-performing teams.
  • A solid understanding of SHE and on-site policies and procedures.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A full, current UK driving license.
  • Previous engineering background could be an advantage, but is not essential.
