Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Scientist to join our team at MPOWIR Mentoring Physical Oceanography Women to Increase Retention. The successful candidate will work as an Oceanographer Modeller, utilizing their expertise in marine science and modeling to inform environmental research and policy.

About the Role
  • The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and apply advanced oceanographic models to understand and predict marine ecosystems, including the impacts of climate change.

Salary: We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement complex oceanographic models to analyze and predict marine ecosystem behavior.
  2. Collaborate with researchers and policymakers to integrate model results into decision-making processes.
  3. Design and lead research projects to investigate the effects of climate change on marine ecosystems.
