Job Title: Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at a leading healthcare provider in the Walsall, West Midlands area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rehabilitation and recovery service that provides specialist care for individuals with severe, complex, and enduring mental health needs.

About the Role:

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring the ongoing safety of service users, residents, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth and effective running of the unit, and will be expected to take charge of the unit regularly in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain skills and knowledge to ensure care is delivered according to latest guidelines and best practice evidence available.
  • Ensure the ongoing safety of service users, residents, staff, and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring, and reviewing processes.
  • Ensure clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used.
  • Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice.
  • Take charge of the unit regularly and, in the absence of the management team, accept responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the unit.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin. A commitment to patient-centred care and to values-based and evidence-based practice is essential. The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
