Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Financial Director to join our team. As a key member of our senior leadership group, you will be responsible for guiding our financial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth and stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor our financial health and risk management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Chair the Finance Committee, fostering collaborative and strategic discussions to inform our financial decision-making.
  • Work closely with our Chief Executive on financial planning, ensuring alignment with our organisational direction.
  • Help shape our organisational direction, steering us towards impactful outcomes and maximising our effectiveness in championing patient and public concerns.
  • Ensure our financial controls and compliance are robust and efficient, providing assurance to our stakeholders.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Strategic financial expertise, with experience in charity finance and governance.
  • A strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to chair meetings and engage with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team, driving forward strategic initiatives.
  • A commitment to our organisational values and mission, with a passion for championing patient and public concerns.
