The Airworthiness Delivery Team at BAE Systems is responsible for overseeing current and future aircraft development, production, and delivery activities, ensuring the airworthiness of our products and their successful deployment for customers worldwide.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping the team's dynamic and culture within a new division that operates as part of a virtual national team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and delivering engineering activities using systems integration and systems engineering techniques.
- Sustaining the initial integrity of Air products through production challenge and review of design, certification, and assurance evidence in line with market legislation and regulatory obligations.
- Validation and challenge of initial evidence through professional judgement and constructive feedback, performance of audit and assurance activities, including involvement in design and phase review assessments.
- Recovery of the integrity of Air products through investigation, root cause analysis, technical instruction, and advising of potential design change.
- Exploitation of learning across Air and other BAE Systems Units, Customers, and Suppliers using appropriate alerting, lessons learnt, and promotional processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Aircraft Avionic / Mechanical systems design / Aerodynamic disciplines knowledge.
- Experience within design configuration control processes.
- Design certification (qualification and safety) and airworthiness processes.
- Knowledge and experience of the Engineering lifecycle.
