Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure and security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Manage and optimize operations across our data centres in Slough and Maidenhead, ensuring high availability and performance.
Lead migration projects to cloud platforms, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to client services.
Develop and implement robust data protection and disaster recovery plans to safeguard client data.
Mentor and manage a team of network and security engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Collaborate with vendors such as Sophos and Barracuda to enhance security posture and ensure effective solutions are in place.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in network security and data protection.
Respond to security incidents and breaches, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements:
Proven experience in network and security management, preferably within a managed service provider environment.
Strong knowledge of data centre operations and management.
Experience with cloud migrations and cloud security practices.
Familiarity with data protection regulations and disaster recovery planning.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
