**Job Summary**

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Building Control Team Manager to lead our Building Control service in North London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality service to our clients, ensuring technical and legal compliance with the Building Acts and Building Regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and manage the Building Control service, ensuring effective day-to-day operations and high-quality service delivery.
  • Act as the principal technical adviser and expert on Building Control matters, providing guidance and support to colleagues and clients.
  • Make decisions in accordance with an appropriate scheme of delegation, ensuring technical and legal compliance with the Building Acts and Building Regulations.
  • Manage staff and resources, implementing a performance-based approach to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Represent the company at appeals, court cases, and other public hearings arising from the works of the service.

**Requirements**

  • Extensive post-qualification experience in Building Control, with a strong understanding of the Building Acts and Building Regulations.
  • Corporate membership of ABE, RICS (Building Control), Institution of Structural Engineers, or equivalent.
  • Experience of effective management of staff and resources, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.
  • Ability to make robust and defendable decisions on legal and technical building control and other related matters.
