Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer - Multi-Skilled to join our team at our state-of-the-art bakery in Coventry. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production and packaging machinery, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform breakdown maintenance on a wide range of production and packaging machinery
  • Carry out mechanical maintenance, including replacing gearboxes, rollers, belts, bearings, shafts, pulleys, drives, and worn parts
  • Conduct electrical maintenance, including replacing sensors, proximity switches, motors, gearboxes, and control panels
  • Fault find using PLCs, multi-meters, schematics, and inspection
  • Perform PPM maintenance, including routine servicing and inspections

Requirements

  • City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, ideally gained through a recognized apprenticeship
  • 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a high-speed manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or FMCG industry
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a proven ability to fault find and repair machinery
