Randstad Care seeks a compassionate and experienced support worker to join our team on the beautiful Scottish Islands. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
Salary
The estimated annual salary for this position is £26,500 - £32,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated support worker who can provide high-quality care to individuals with various needs, including learning disabilities, elderly, dementia, physical disabilities, and challenging behavior. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in care settings, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support to individuals with diverse needs, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
- Assist with daily tasks, such as meal preparation, medication administration, moving and handling, household chores, and general domiciliary care.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care outcomes.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or community care environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Moving and handling training and medication administration training.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
