At GLL, we're looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team at Odd Down Sports Ground. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


As a Catering Assistant, you'll be responsible for supporting the café and the team to achieve its full potential. This includes preparing, serving, and delivering food and drinks, as well as participating in the production and service standards of the café.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Providing a friendly and welcoming service to visitors and customers at the facility.
  • Preparing, serving, and delivering food and drinks to the highest standards.
  • Participating in the production and service standards of the café, ensuring high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety laws and maintaining high standards of food safety.
  • Working as part of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Providing excellent customer care and having good multi-tasking skills.
  • Following all normal and emergency operating procedures, as well as adhering to relevant product manuals.
  • Fully participating in and engaging in training through centre-based training and on-going assessment of performance.

We're looking for someone who:



  • Has previous catering experience.
  • Has experience of preparing and cooking food.
  • Has a food hygiene level 2 qualification (desirable).
  • Is able to work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Is able to provide excellent customer care and has good multi-tasking skills.
  • Is able to follow all normal and emergency operating procedures, as well as adhering to relevant product manuals.
  • Is able to fully participate in and engage in training through centre-based training and on-going assessment of performance.
