As a Sustainable Energy Systems Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of low carbon technology. Our 2-year programme includes comprehensive training and hands-on experience, helping you to become a qualified technician in this growing field.

In this role, you will work as part of a team to support the installation of low carbon tech, including air source heat pumps, in customers' homes. You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality work, completing prep work for installations, testing handover procedures, and removing and disposing of old heating systems to make way for our sustainable alternatives. You will also be expected to identify and implement opportunities for improvement, and to contribute to the development of best practices within the team.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and a motivation to learn and develop. A Maths and English GCSE at level 4-9, functional skills Maths and English, or equivalent is also essential. Additionally, a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points and permanent right to work in the UK for the duration of the Apprenticeship are required.

We offer a competitive salary of £24,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on location, plus a £1,300 lunch allowance per year. You will also receive share options in Octopus Energy Group, gym discounts, and social events. If successful, you will be invited to complete our online blended assessment, followed by a virtual assessment centre where you can showcase your skills.
