OutThere RPO is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join their team in the UK. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary of around £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

This exciting role will see you working closely with the development team to drive the company's strategy forward and set targets for the engineering team. As an experienced engineer with strong leadership skills, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Level 1 projects, services, and repairs are delivered to the highest standard, while also managing tools, fleet, and equipment effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment and Development: Lead the recruitment process for direct engineers and develop their skills through training and mentorship.
  • Engineering Performance Oversight: Monitor and improve engineering performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Technical Supervision: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring that all work meets the required standards.
  • Project Management Assistance: Assist with project management, providing input on feasibility, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  • Management of Tools, Fleet, and Equipment: Oversee the management of tools, fleet, and equipment, ensuring that they are properly maintained and utilized efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with staff and other departments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to drive success.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • A natural ability to problem-solve and think critically.
