About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our Contract Administration Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to less experienced surveyors, while also managing a varied workload including contract administration, specification preparation, site inspections, and quality management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Contract Administrator for various projects
  • Prepare specifications and schedules of work
  • Conduct site inspections and quality management
  • Attend site meetings and provide technical guidance
  • Manage cost control, design coordination, and CDM Consultant/Principal Designer duties
  • Hold line management and mentoring responsibilities for a small team of 3-5 less experienced surveyors
Requirements
  • RICS or CIOB accredited construction degree
  • 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally in both new build and refurbishment projects
  • Proven technical expertise and experience in providing similar services
  • Experience in managing teams and providing guidance, mentoring, and leadership skills
  • Confident communicator and experienced in client-facing roles
  • Ability to manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis
  • Willingness to travel across the UK
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A self-starter with high autonomy and self-motivation
  • Full UK driving license
