About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Management Manager to lead our residential lettings team at Spicerhaart in Ashford. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our property management portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving business growth through effective team management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of property managers to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead daily meetings with the property management team to discuss ongoing projects, address concerns, and set goals
  • Coach and develop team members to advance their careers and improve performance
  • Monitor and assess individual team member performance, including conducting regular one-to-one meetings
  • Ensure the business is risk-averse and compliant with all regulatory bodies, including conducting property inspections, negotiating tenancy extensions, and coordinating with contractors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants, resolving complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Process eviction requests, deposit returns, and rental arrears, ensuring all properties meet regulatory health and safety standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, retention, and referrals

Requirements

  • Full UK driving license for a manual vehicle
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a property manager within residential lettings
  • Strong knowledge of current residential lettings legislation and compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members
  • Basic IT skills and proficiency in property management software
