Nurture Teaching Assistant Position

Parker Smith Inclusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurture Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Nurture Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to vulnerable children who require it most.
About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding role working with KS3 students who have significant, complex behaviour challenges. You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support these students and help them overcome their difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and learning difficulties
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure students receive the support they need
- Build rapport with disengaged students and help them develop a positive attitude towards learning
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, and mental health issues
- Experience working with children/young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and learning difficulties
- Learning Support/Teaching Assistant experience
- Ability to be nurturing and caring
- Proactive, flexible, and willing approach
- Ability to build rapport with disengaged students
- Patience and understanding of the difficulties surrounding children's return to school
- Excellent experience and training for aspiring Teachers, Pastoral workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers
