Job Title: Year 1 Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As a key member of our Primary School, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to Year 1 students. You will implement effective teaching strategies, assess student progress, and provide regular feedback to ensure students meet their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 1 students.
  • Implement innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behavior and positive relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Year 1 students in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
