About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Manager to join our team at Blue Cross in Sheffield. As Assistant Manager - Client Services, you will play a vital role in overseeing the smooth operational delivery of our rehoming services, ensuring that our clients, pets, and people receive exceptional care throughout the admission and adoption stages of the rehoming process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a dynamic team of Pet Welfare Assistants, empowering them to deliver outstanding client care and drive meaningful improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction, pet welfare, and rehoming services, aligning with Blue Cross's values and goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the centre's senior leadership team to understand pet throughflow and client journey satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Manage client service reporting, ensuring that all interactions are positive, efficient, and uphold our high standards.
  • Take charge of admission and adoption processes, prioritizing enquiries from the public wishing to relinquish pets, promoting pets in care, and facilitating successful adoptions.
About You

We are looking for a positive and innovative manager with a deep understanding of the processes and stages involved in admitting and matching pets with their new owners. You will have a passion for exceptional client service, strong analytical skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate your team. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying calm and organized while juggling multiple tasks and making sound decisions under pressure.

Requirements
  • Experience of working in a rescue welfare environment.
  • Significant experience of managing a team.
  • Experience in delivering high-level client service.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • High standard of verbal and written communication.
  • Proven decision-making ability.
  • Current full driving licence.
  • The ability to demonstrate, understand, and apply our Blue Cross Values.
