Cycling Ambassador for Schools in East Dunbartonshire

The I Bike Project has been promoting healthy travel choices in Education since 2009 in Scotland. As a Cycling Ambassador for Schools in East Dunbartonshire, you will work with selected schools around Bearsden and Milngavie areas to promote cycling, scooting, and walking.
Key Responsibilities- Support school staff and volunteers to promote active travel within the school community
- Harness local authority resources available for active travel
- Create connections between schools, external partners, and the bicycle industry
You should have experience working with children and young people, preferably in schools, community groups, environment projects, or similar settings. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You must be able to present ideas effectively and engage with various age groups.
A UK clean driving license is required, and you will need to undertake National Standard Cycle Instructor training and bike maintenance training. Knowledge of Active travel programmes in Scotland is also vital.
