About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Well-being Activity Coordinator to join our team at St Monica Trust. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering activities that promote the health and well-being of our residents.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have experience in working with older people, organising and running events/activities, and understanding risk assessments and good practice in dementia care. You will be confident in your ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues, and possess strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and deliver an engaging activities programme that meets the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for shared activities and events.
  • Evaluate and monitor the success of all activities, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Establish links with local community groups and encourage cross-generational activities.
  • Support and coordinate volunteers and work experience students involved in various activities and events.
  • Work closely with the Social Care Deputy Manager to ensure best value is achieved through expenditure on activities.

Requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent
  • Experience in working with older people and organising events/activities
  • Understanding of risk assessments and good practice in dementia care
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
