Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Mathematics Department Leader to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and be an excellent classroom practitioner who is capable of inspiring and motivating students and who can confidently teach Mathematics at GCSE and A level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a creative approach to developing the Key Stage 3 curriculum
  • Work alongside the Head of Department and other leaders within the Department to move the curriculum forward
  • Teach Mathematics at GCSE and A level, with the opportunity to upskill in Further Mathematics
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver enrichment activities and promote student engagement
  • Contribute to the development of staff wellbeing and career development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background and teaching experience in Mathematics
  • Excellent classroom practice and ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
