Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support our pupils with their social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The successful applicant will be an inspiring and motivating individual that can build positive working relationships with children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • To set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils, including the careful presentation of work and the care of books and equipment.
  • To support pupils with their learning under the direction of teachers and management.
  • To administer first aid and/or medication (once trained).
  • To participate in curriculum and management planning meetings, meetings with colleagues, parents, and other agencies.
  • To make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.
  • To promote the safety and wellbeing of pupils.
  • To manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.

  • Be compassionate & empathetic.
  • Adaptable and able to use your own initiative.
  • Ability to adapt teaching support according to pupils' individual needs, abilities, and attainment levels.
  • Can inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
  • Can form positive relationships with children and young people.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
