About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at SMarter Recruitment. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to fabricate steel doors, including the Emmegi Twin Ferro saw and Emmegi T3 Star Phantomatic milling centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machinery to fabricate steel doors, ensuring high-quality products.
  • Work with a small team to achieve production targets and maintain product lead times.
  • Read and understand basic drawings and cutting lists to ensure accurate processing.
  • Maintain tooling and equipment, adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Perform dimensional inspections and routine operator maintenance.
  • Achieve and exceed set production targets and KPIs.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
  • Maintain stock control logs and adhere to good housekeeping practices.
Requirements
  • Detail-conscious and able to take ownership of tasks through to completion.
  • Flexible approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production.
  • Experience with Trumpf or similar Punch machinery programming.
  • Punch/fold machine experience and ideally experience in door manufacturing.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with modern manufacturing processes and total quality improvement.
