Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen processes, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring that mealtimes are enjoyable and memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring high-quality standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with the Cook and catering team to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, understanding their individual needs and preferences
  • Contribute to the development of menus and meal plans that cater to diverse dietary requirements
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Experience working in a similar environment, preferably in a care home or catering setting
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Warm and approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support
