About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Support Worker to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning difficulties, ensuring their safety and well-being during the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to residents with learning difficulties, promoting their independence and dignity.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and respond to residents' needs, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to record and document activities in care plans.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Previous experience in a care setting, with a focus on supporting individuals with learning difficulties.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, First Aid, and Fire procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible approach to shift work and a willingness to learn and adapt.
