About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Radiology Department as an Imaging Clerical Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line reception service to patients attending for imaging procedures, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
  • Manage patient appointments, bookings, and cancellations, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the Radiology Information System.
  • Handle and assist patients with queries, providing clear and concise information about procedures and requirements.
  • Liaise with diagnostic coordinators to update patient delays and sudden peaks in patient arrivals.
  • Manage electronic referrals, dealing with deferred orders and ensuring no delays to patients or the department.
  • Coordinate patient imaging requirements to coincide with other hospital appointments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of data entry, including patient identification, ethnicity, and contact information.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in reception duties, dealing directly with members of the public.
  • Confident use of a computer and keyboard skills, with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge and awareness of customer care principles and information governance.
