Academic Mentor - Outstanding Secondary School Opportunity

Are you a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive Secondary School ahead of your Teacher Training next year?

A creative, holistic learning-focused and friendly Secondary school in Southwark is seeking Academic Mentors to join their 'Outstanding' Secondary school for the full academic year.

The school has an exceptional track record of bringing in Graduates as Secondary Academic Mentors and providing world-class training and support to enable you to become an outstanding Secondary Teacher.

Additionally, if you are an Aspiring Secondary Teacher, the school can offer Salaried Teacher Training commencing September 2025, meaning you won't pay the tuition fees and you'll receive a salary while training.

What will the Academic Mentor - Outstanding Secondary School position involve day to day?

  • Work in your preferred Key Stage
  • Show your creative flair The school has a diverse, rich, and creative curriculum, meaning pupils don't just read off a whiteboard; you will have the opportunity to deliver creative sessions day to day.
  • Support the Class Teacher by providing whole class support.
  • Run targeted interventions to support students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Support students with mild SEN (Special Educational Needs) - Opportunity to support mild Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, and more
  • Work Monday to Friday - School Hours - 8:30am - 4:30pm - Long Term.
