Cresconova Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children to become innovators and change-makers through creativity, experiential learning, and makerspace pedagogy. Our mission is to provide innovative educational courses online and in-person at Cresconova Global and Cresconova Labs.

Salary:

£60,000 per year, based on experience

Job Description

We seek a skilled educator to lead our makerspace program, teaching students aged 8-18 using design thinking principles and hybrid learning models. The ideal candidate will possess experience in building maker space courses and have a passion for leading with creativity and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and support instructors offering courses within the content area.
  • Ensure all operations comply with safety, hygiene, and safeguarding standards.
  • Manage a variety of tools, including rapid prototyping, ceramics, fabric design, wood shop, desktop CNC, and AR/VR.
  • Oversight of machinery in all classrooms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues on in-person and hybrid courses.
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 3-years successful teaching experience with students in primary and secondary education or demonstrated professional competency.
  • Experience teaching Architecture, AutoCAD, and 3D Design.
  • Experience with inquiry-based and/or project-based learning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community.
  • Willingness to take on multiple roles within the learning center.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in academic/research field and/or professional experience within your area of practice.
  • Demonstrated capacity and desire to teach across multiple disciplines/subject areas.
  • Experience in and desire to build culture and community with both adults and students.
