Job Description:

At Tilbury Hall Management, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced estate horticulturist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a beautiful private estate setting with established gardens and a large greenhouse.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Gardener in implementing seasonal operations throughout the gardens
  • Work closely with gardeners and estate workers to maintain the estate and its gardens
  • Provide seasonal vegetables, fruit, and cut flowers on a regular basis
Requirements:

The successful applicant will have at least 3 years of experience in a gardening position or similar, preferably within an estate setting. A Level 2 qualification in Horticulture is required, along with competency in garden machinery and equipment use and maintenance. A chainsaw license and spraying certificates are desirable.

Working Conditions:

The working hours consist of 45 hours per week, and the job requires good all-round gardening skills, physical fitness, and the ability to work alone at times. Accommodation is included, and a couple will be considered for this role.

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
