Theartgorgeous seeks a Curator (Children, Young People and Families) to build on established and evolving programs. The ideal candidate has experience in project development, management, and delivery within cultural and community contexts. They should be interested in co-creation between artists and communities and child-or family-centred curatorial approaches. The Curator plays a crucial part in the future development of our Social Practice programs, working to dismantle barriers and champion access to high-quality cultural opportunities for children, young people, and families. Our portfolio of 15 studio buildings, exhibition spaces, and workshops supports a community of over 400 creative practitioners and cultural organizations. We bring professional artists together with local communities in programs to explore their creativity with transformational outcomes. The Curator will work to develop and deliver programs that promote access to cultural opportunities for children, young people, and families. They will collaborate with artists, communities, and internal stakeholders to co-create programs that are responsive to community needs. The Curator will also contribute to the development of our Social Practice programs, working to ensure that they are inclusive, accessible, and of high quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of co-creation and community engagement in the development of cultural programs. They will be able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including artists, communities, and internal teams. The Curator will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote access to cultural opportunities for children, young people, and families.
