Legionella Risk Management Specialist

At AWD online, we are looking for a highly skilled Legionella Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring water safety across various sectors while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent results.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with COSHH regulations / ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / BS 8580 -1 2019, compiling schematic drawings, producing final documents for clients/customers, providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction, and management of risk, collating and producing comprehensive reports, and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting Legionella Risk Assessments, ideally within a consultancy environment, and experience across multiple sectors (e.g., education, healthcare, commercial) and various water system types (e.g., evaporative cooling, hot and cold water systems, spas, hot tubs, swimming pools).

Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting Legionella risk assessments in accordance with industry regulations and guidelines
* Compiling schematic drawings and producing final documents for clients/customers
* Providing recommendations for the elimination, reduction, and management of risk
* Collating and producing comprehensive reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports
* Working effectively with the Planning Team who schedules work

Requirements:
An approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc) is required. A strong working knowledge of ACoP L8, HTM 04-01, and other relevant guidance is essential. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and fluent verbal and written English, with excellent communication skills, are necessary.
