Job Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our New Client Administration team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial services operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk and compliance, with experience in anti-money laundering and sanctions regulations. You will be responsible for reviewing and verifying client information, conducting due diligence reviews, and escalating any AML and sanctions issues.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading international legal business, with a diverse range of capabilities and a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify client information to ensure compliance with financial crime policies and procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive customer due diligence reviews and analysis of information to establish corporate structures and identify ultimate beneficial owners
  • Escalate AML and sanctions issues in accordance with internal processes
  • Participate in financial crime working groups and wider OGC team discussions
  • Support the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (and Deputies) to resolve AML concerns
Requirements
  • Graduate level qualification (or equivalent) with experience in the legal sector
  • Previous experience in a risk and compliance function, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of anti-money laundering and sanctions regulations
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
  • Good attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work on own initiative
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
