Job Title: Caretaker - Housing Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Caretaker to provide vital support to our housing teams in Lambeth, ensuring that our properties are maintained to the highest standards and our residents receive exceptional service.

About the Role:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a Caretaker to join our team in Lambeth, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality maintenance services.

The ideal candidate will have a clean UK driving license and proficiency in report writing and business English. Excellent planning, organizing, prioritization, and administration skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with maintenance, customer service, and housing teams to identify and address communal repairs.
  2. Ensure timely opening and closing of play areas, conduct Level 1 playground inspections, and prepare reports.
  3. Support Housing Officers in property readiness for letting and assist with decanting operations.
  4. Monitor and report defects in external lighting, make seasonal adjustments, and maintain records.
  5. Oversee regular compacting and removal of domestic and bulk refuse, advocating for recycling initiatives.
  6. Assist with setting up the residents' Sheltered Community Centre and distribute information and newsletters.
  7. Provide emergency call-out coverage on a rotational basis and report on community safety and anti-social behaviour incidents.
