Financial Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Control Specialist to join our team at SmartSearch. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of credit control, including policies and procedures, management of a Senior Credit Controller, and reporting to the Head of Finance.
As a Financial Control Specialist, you will work from both a strategic and hands-on perspective to manage the aged debt position, ensure timely collection of license fees and subscription fees, and provide clear communication and reporting on cash flow to the Head of Finance, Group FC, and FP&A Manager.
You will also be responsible for creating new and improving existing credit control procedures and controls, taking ownership of complex client queries, and maintaining and improving cash flow through diligent monitoring of customer accounts.
This is a varied role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including business support, account managers, accounts team, and legal department, to ensure smooth and swift resolution of any issues.
In terms of salary, we are offering a competitive package in the range of £50,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
