The Senior Financial Advisor

We are seeking a high-calibre individual, diligent, resilient, and technically strong, with a broad understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and wealth management. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial advice to clients, with a strong focus on communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

A genuine enthusiasm for the role is essential, as well as the ability to remain informed of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, and the impact of new technology.

Main Responsibilities
  • A dynamic, people-focussed negotiator, with the sales acumen to acquire profitable client relationships with high income/net worth clients and act as primary resource for investment communication.
  • Identifying clients' needs and ensuring they are met by utilising investments or other relevant products in connection with client's tax, legal, and estate planning needs.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by proactively monitoring their portfolio.
  • Clear communication skills to provide high-level consultative, targeted financial advice and thoughtful solutions through an in-depth understanding and competency of investment products and services to deliver exceptional client experience.
  • Drive business results and acquire new assets both from existing client base and new client acquisition.
  • Conduct investment reviews with clients to validate their current investment objectives and prepare recommendations of appropriate investment products.
  • Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, and credit needs.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions focus on enhancing the client's experience, fulfilling their objectives, solving problems, and identifying key opportunities.
  • Strictly adhere to all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or any other related discipline with excellent investment knowledge and excellent knowledge of financial planning and wealth management products and services.
  • Chartered or Certified status.
  • Experience of advising business owners.
  • A minimum of 7 years' sales and client management experience in a similar financial planning role with a demonstrated ability to manage a high-end portfolio.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • Demonstrated understanding of investments and trust concepts, including asset allocation, portfolio reviews, basic trust and estate products, and identification of wealth planning opportunities.
  • Experience with and in-depth knowledge of the equity and fixed income markets and alternative investments, including Private Equity and Real Estate.
  • Analytical ability to relate specific client asset situations to individual products.
