About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Collections Conservator to join our team and contribute to the preservation of our digital collections.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Collection Management: Develop a detailed understanding of the library's digital collections and their acquisition and processing workflows;
  • Preservation Planning: Work with colleagues to preserve digital collections, including the development of preservation plans and ingest of collections into the library's long-term digital repository;
  • Digital Preservation: Contribute to the development and promotion of best practice for digital preservation within the library;
  • Team Collaboration: Support colleagues with the implementation of the digital elements of the library's Collection Management Strategy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing and preserving digital collections;
  • Excellent knowledge of digital preservation risks, challenges, and solutions;
  • Solid understanding of concepts relating to digital lifecycle management and how they interact with preservation requirements;
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
