Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for driving sales turnover and market share through a consumer-focused approach. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Reflecting a credible and professional brand image to internal and external consumers.
  2. Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service, and maintaining retail standards.
  3. Contributing to efficiencies by adhering to store, brand, and company procedures.
  4. Understanding daily and weekly targets.
  5. Ensuring personal awareness of additional sales avenues, including events, omnichannel, and digital channels.
  6. Staying up-to-date with competitor activities and missed opportunities.
  7. Effectively using social media to drive business, protect, and enhance the brand image.
  8. Delivering the brand strategy, ensuring the delivery of an effective local plan.
  9. Planning and implementing local marketing and events initiatives, aligned to retailer activity.
  10. Delivering excellence in service execution, ensuring measures are in place to continually improve service levels and create a zero consumer complaints mindset.
  11. Being an ambassador for the brand, leading the way to ensure brand values are represented and brought to life.
  12. Managing refunds and complaints in line with company guidelines, informing the area manager where necessary.
  13. Using digital tools to ensure knowledge is up-to-date.
  14. Delivering a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to grow a loyal consumer base.
  15. Developing up-to-date knowledge of products to deliver an industry-leading experience and meet consumer needs.

Operations

  1. Planning to ensure excellent standards are maintained at all times (product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, pricing).
  2. Reviewing retail standards daily to ensure they meet the required standard.
  3. Ensuring deliveries, stock movements, and associated administration are completed within agreed company timeframes.
  4. Implementing auditable processes and administration in line with company guidelines and taking corrective action in highlighted areas of risk.
  5. Providing accurate and timely information to requests.
  6. Minimising stock loss by implementing company security policies and procedures correctly.
  7. Creating and maintaining a safe working environment for consumers, adhering to company and retailer policies and procedures.
  8. Ensuring health and safety responsibilities and operational activities achieve a minimum overall grading of 'Acceptable' during audits.

Commerciality

  1. Managing daily replenishment and taking appropriate action where necessary.
  2. Maximising sales performance by utilising commercial reports before making decisions.
  3. Planning and delivering visual merchandising layouts, ensuring they meet guidelines and are completed within agreed timescales.
  4. Identifying stock package issues and taking corrective action, informing the area manager when necessary.
  5. Effectively managing promotions and discounts in line with company guidelines.
  6. Identifying trends and suggesting enhancements to product performance.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment.
  2. Ability to drive self-development.
  3. Commercial understanding and awareness of the industry.
