Job Title: Credit Risk Officer - Portfolio Monitoring and Governance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Officer to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a Credit Risk Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and governing credit risk across our business lines, ensuring that our risk appetite is aligned with our overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Monitoring:
    • Monitor our credit risk portfolio on a continuous basis, identifying potential risks and reporting to management.
    • Maintain and develop credit risk monitoring and reporting processes, in close cooperation with our Risk Management team.
    • Define and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure adherence to our risk appetite.
    • Monitor exposures through various metrics, including underwriting exposures, industry and idiosyncratic concentration risk, and excess positions.
    • Monitor our cost of risk across all IFRS9 buckets (S1, S2, and S3), in conjunction with our Finance and Risk teams.
  • Credit Decisions:
    • Support our Risk Management function with regards to credit risk, providing expert advice and guidance.
    • Contribute to the definition of our credit risk appetite, ensuring that it aligns with our overall business strategy.
    • Plan, organize, and oversee the risk identification and assessment process.
    • Develop and maintain the credit risk components of our risk appetite framework.
  • Governance, Policies, and Strategic Initiatives:
    • Establish and maintain effective governance for the approval, monitoring, and management of credit risk.
    • Help define and follow up on our Risk Management team's objectives and strategy.
  • Interaction with Auditors and Regulators:
    • Support the management and timely resolution of all external and internal recommendations.
    • Monitor changes in our regulatory environment and ensure that our business lines are aware of any credit risk issues that may affect their scope of action.
  • Conduct and Change Management:
    • Act as an agent of change, driving improvements in our credit risk management processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Broad understanding of credit risk management in a banking environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data.
  • Rigorous and autonomous, with the ability to raise alerts appropriately to management.
  • Team player with strong business insight and analytical skills.
