Senior Mechanical Project Engineer - Water and Wastewater Treatment

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in the Midlands. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering innovative and complex projects across various water and wastewater treatment processes. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and implementing mechanical solutions to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with internal and external design and project delivery teams to develop and implement mechanical solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects.
  2. Select and procure mechanical equipment and materials while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  3. Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure their work aligns with project objectives and timelines.
  4. Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and compliance with established standards.
  5. Maintain healthy client relationships throughout the project from commencement to close-out.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in water and wastewater industry as a project engineer or similar role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and automation technologies relevant to water treatment processes.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
