Estimator/Billing Manager Role

Our client Consilium Contracting Services is a dynamic and fast-paced 24/7 multi-trade contracting firm based in the UK. They operate primarily in social housing and private domestic homes, delivering over 2,500 jobs each month against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review and bill jobs marked as completed in a timely manner.
  2. Issue quotations for private domestic jobs, including plumbing, heating, bathroom makeovers, kitchen makeovers, boilers, and general electrical work.
  3. Invoice private customers upon job completion.
  4. Understand and apply Schedule of Rates (SoR) principles, with knowledge of SoRs such as the M3NHF (National Housing Federation) SoR being highly advantageous.
  5. Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment for private domestic works, and use the SoR to estimate for social housing customers when requested.
  6. Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, demonstrate numeracy skills, and commercial awareness.
  8. Possess a good understanding of social housing and private domestic works.
Requirements:
  • Good understanding of SoRs and their application.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong numeracy and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Working Environment:

The Estimator/Billing Manager will play a crucial role in the company's profitability, determined by the speed and accuracy of weekly billing. This is an office-based role with no remote working options.
