We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Brainkind. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing meals and refreshments to our service users, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
  • Wash and put away used utensils, pans, and crockery
  • Clean kitchen work surfaces, equipment, floors, fridges, freezers, and storage cupboards
  • Ensure all equipment is stored away and the kitchen is left clean and tidy at the end of each shift
  • Report equipment faults, repair, and maintenance needs
  • Monitor and report supplies requirements
  • Record all information as required by Brainkind policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Level 2 food hygiene certificate or willingness to complete within 2 weeks of starting employment
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Able to work within policies and procedures
  • Experience of working in a similar environment
