Financial Controller Opportunity

Kenton Black Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in Ulverston. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and success.

About the Role

This is an autonomous role that provides input to strategic decision making, remaining hands-on in the day-to-day running of the finance function. You will be responsible for leading a small team of transactional finance staff, responsible for their training and development, and will have ownership of all financial reporting, management accounts production, commentary, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading a small team of transactional finance staff
  • Ownership of all financial reporting and management accounts production
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Review of AP and AR activities
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure effective decisions are made
Requirements

The successful candidate will be proven in a similar level role with strong leadership and staff management capabilities. Strong technical ability is required, as well as demonstrating good commercial acumen to support effective business decision making.
