About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Animal Management Technician to join our team at King George V College. As a key member of our Animal Management curriculum team, you will provide technical support for animal welfare and contribute to the delivery and recording of practical work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage the care and management of our animal collection, including cleaning, feeding, and waste disposal.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on animal exhibits and holding areas to ensure animal health and welfare.
  • Research, design, and implement enrichment activities to promote mental and physical stimulation in our animals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced qualification (level 3 or above) in an animal or biological science-related subject.
  • Practical experience working with a variety of animals in commercial or educational environments.
  • High standards in animal management and effective handling skills with diverse species.
