Data Scientist in Population Health Research

Research Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral data scientist/machine learning expert to join our multidisciplinary research team at the University of Oxford, focused on studying multi-organ health through large-scale population health studies.
This role will offer the person a unique opportunity to work on two of the world's most comprehensive datasets, UK Biobank and ORFAN, to advance our understanding of multimorbidity, particularly in the context of obesity, cancer, cardiomyopathies, and heart failure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced statistical and machine learning analyses on large-scale datasets
- Develop and implement novel methods for studying multimorbidity
- Collaborate with researchers from various disciplines to advance our understanding of multi-organ health
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g. statistics, machine learning, epidemiology)
- Strong programming skills in languages such as R or Python
- Experience with large-scale data analysis and machine learning
