Salary

\

£25,119 - £27,803 per annum, plus enhancements for waking nights, Bank Holidays, and Sunday working, as well as a sleep-in rate of £87.54.

About the Role

\

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our residential service, you will work closely with children and young people to develop their life skills, promote positive relationships, and support their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to effective care planning and risk management strategies.\
  • Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with the children and young people in your care.\
  • Monitor and record the progress of your assigned children, ensuring their individual needs are met.\
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and contribute to the overall success of the team.\
  • Participate in on-going training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.\
  • Embrace a flexible working rota, including long days, sleep shifts, and waking nights, to meet the changing needs of the service.\

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A willingness to work towards or hold a recognized NVQ 4 or QCF diploma in working with children and young people in residential care, or equivalent relevant experience.\
  • A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.\
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • A valid UK driving licence and the ability to drive safely.\
  • The legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.\
