Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Northfield

Catholic Partnership Supply Service (CPSS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced teaching assistant to join our team in the Northfield area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with an SEN child in a year 2 class, providing emotional and social intervention, communication support, and maths and English/phonics intervention.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 5 days a week, and requires the successful candidate to have a strong understanding of SEN needs and the ability to provide personal care support. The ideal candidate will be joining an experienced and welcoming team and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and social intervention to the SEN child
  • Support with communication, maths, and English/phonics intervention
  • Assist with personal care
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the child's needs are met
Requirements
  • Teaching assistant related qualifications (level 2+)
  • University graduates
  • Childcare related qualifications (level 2+)
  • Health and social care related qualifications (with either school experience or basic knowledge of phonics)
  • Unqualified teaching assistants with classroom experience
