The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at Bournemouth Carlton Hotel, part of the Signature Collection By Best Western. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our hotel rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and inviting for our guests.

Your Responsibilities

  • Service hotel bedrooms and public areas to company standards and within allocated time frames.
  • Be familiar with agreed cleaning standards and presentation of all room categories.
  • Report any damages or breakages promptly to ensure repairs are carried out.
  • Return all equipment to their allotted storerooms at the end of each working day and keep the storerooms and working areas clean and tidy.

Requirements

  • Have previous experience in a similar role and understand the importance of attention to detail in housekeeping.
  • Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and take pride in delivering clean and well-maintained guest rooms and public areas.
  • Be a team player who is reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Possess excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard within the allocated time frame.
  • Be physically fit and able to carry out the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods of time, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have good communication skills and be able to work effectively with other departments to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Be familiar with health and safety regulations and have a good understanding of the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Have a good eye for detail and be able to spot areas that require extra attention, such as stains or damaged items.
